Zbat

Messy, unapologetic and 100% DIY

Messy, unapologetic and 100% diy rock n’ roll. Zbat is a Sicilian nickname that means "to hit something". Formed in London in late 2017, the band hit the ground running with explosive live shows and bedroom-made riffs that were gritty, loud, and full of fire. Now based in Barcelona, Zbat features Mauro (Colombia) on drums and Jorpe (Chile) on bass, delivering music that’s as heavy as it is unpredictable. Influenced by bands like Melvins, Quicksand, and A Place to Bury Strangers, Zbat fuses punk energy with sludgy, razor-sharp edges. Their live performances are sonic roller coasters, keeping audiences on their toes with moments that are intense, atmospheric, and chaotic all at once. With a DIY approach to recording, Zbat thrives on spontaneity, turning raw ideas into music that hits hard and defies over-polishing. Their motto? Unfiltered and uncompromised. Their goal? To pay the rent with rock 'n' roll. Until then, they’ll keep pushing boundaries with their explosive, no-holds-barred sound.

Quentin – Guitar & Vocals
Drummer at heart, guitarist out of necessity, and producer purely because no one else was going to do it. If Quentin's not on stage, he’s locked in his room making noises happen. Some people call it songwriting; he just calls it getting the noise out of his head.

Mauro – Drums
From Colombia with a suitcase of quiet humility, Mauro is the calmest guy you’ll meet—until he sits behind the drum kit. His precision is surgical, but his hits are like being run over by a truck (in a good way).

Jorpe – Bass
Jorpe barely speaks. Not that it matters, because when he picks up the bass, he says everything you need to know. His bass lines are effortlessly cool, like he’s not even trying. And he isn’t.
